Peter Davis established the SCBWI New England listserv in October 1999. A listserv (or email list service) is a way for someone to send a message and have it transmitted simultaneously to everyone on the list.
There is no cost for subscribing to the listserv and no easier way for a member to pass along information (like what editor is moving to what house), to ask questions of other SCBWI writers and illustrators, to read current announcements of regional events and time-sensitive news about the children’s book business, and to find links to blog posts of interest. We have some very wise members on our list who generously share their advice and opinions.
Please note: The Yahoo listserv will no longer be active. You must switch over to the Google Group or you will no longer receive emails.
Any member of SCBWI can subscribe to the New England SCBWI listserv by visiting https://groups.google.com/d/forum/scbwi-ne.
Subscribing members have options, such as whether they want emails sent as soon as they are posted on the list, or combined and sent in one message once a day (in “digest” form). Changes to these choices can be made by going to groups.google.com and logging in with the email address you used to join the group.
